What is FRα? What is FRα? How does ELAHERE work?

What is FRα and why is it important?

Folate receptor alpha, or , is a protein often found in people with ovarian cancer. Your doctor may refer to it as a biomarker.

Testing for FRα can help your doctor determine if ELAHERE is right for you.

  • Before you start treatment, your doctor will test a sample from your tumor to confirm that your cancer is FRα+. Your doctor may be able to use tissue stored from an earlier biopsy or surgery for testing
  • If you have already received a biopsy or had surgery for ovarian cancer, ask your doctor if your cancer has been tested for FRα

ELAHERE is the first treatment for people with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer that targets FRα in order to deliver medicine directly into cells.
